Author: Scott G - USA - Sep 2009 Dragon lasers protective eye-wear (safety glasses) are perfect. It is amazing when you put the protective eye-wear on; all the leaser light seems to just disappear. This is not like putting on a pair of sunglasses; the focused reflected dot of a 400mW red laser off any surface is going to be bright, but with the protective eye-wear I can barely make out the smallest dot. Once I saw the difference I felt very confident that I am well protected, even against an accidental, momentary direct beam, and that is important when dealing with high powered lasers. I am about to implement a 3.2Watt infrared laser into a laser etching project, and when it comes to focusing that beam I am very glad I have my Dragon laser infrared safety glasses. I needed professional quality, and that is what I got with Dragon Laser products.
Author: Alex S - Romania - May 2010 I choosed LSG-08, because it cover blue and red spectrum and offer better attenuation factor for booth red and also for blue. In the past I used 2 pair googles (LSG-02 and LSG-03) to cover entire red and blue spectrum. Now I am using only one pair for better protection (attenuation factor for red and blue is over 10.000 instead 3200 as it have LSG-02 and LSG-03 models).
Using 405nm/150mw laser diodes, on focus, laser is very bright and you can't look at the dot and distinguish when you are on focus. Using this googles, I was able to focus it at very shorter distance (less than 30cm and also on 5m away), so the dot remain visible and you can look into it very easy and
LSG-08 cut off entire laser beam.
Using 658nm/200mw laser diodes, on focus attenuation is very stronger, stronger than on ultraviolet/blue lasers. Beam is completeley cut off and the dot, on focus is much much more attenuated. At 30cm become very small and weak and at 3m the dot is almost invisible (you can see it if is a dark room). This is normal, because on red we have bigger attenuation factor
(100.000) than on ultraviolet/blue (10.000).
I have no doubt that this google are up to spec.
Author: Simone G - Italy - May 2010 I bought a pair of laser safety glasses to use with a red laser, based on the diode of a DVD burner. They are really effective at blocking that wavelength: in fact, the first time I used them I could not even see any spot where I was aiming the laser! Later I realized that I was not supposed to look for a big bright spot, but for a small, very dim red point (or, when the laser is focussed, for a tiny, bright white/green point), which is all that remains of the diffused light when most of it is blocked by the glasses. I always wear those safety glasses when I use that laser, and so far I am really satisfied.
Author: Thomas F - Germany - May 2010 Hallo an alle Interessenten,
Author: David S - USA - May 2010 Saftey glasses:Great glasses, love both pairs I bought, they really offer good protection, OD 4 for $30 sweet price!
125mW viper: Great laser, by far my favorite laser that I own! This laser is rated at 125mW and on my LPM it is putting out continous of 150mW and peaks at 180mW!! Thanks for a great laser!
Author: Tamas R - Hungary - May 2010 I liked the price of the safety glasses but first I have ordered only one piece to test it.
They shipped it pretty fast and the packaging was well done too.
I was surprised with the quality. We tested for 650-660nm and it was just as good as the competitor's 3-10x more expensive googles. I've ordered 10 more. Great quality, service and price.
Author: Jose R – Brazil – June 2010 Great Vendor and GREAT PRODUCTS, exactly how described !
and quickly shippment to BRAZIL !!
Author: Kevin L – USA - May 2010 I was looking for a good, quality pair of laser safety glasses and found them here!!! A lot of websites offer laser safety goggles but have no OD rating!!!! That is I looked for when shopping for a pair AND price. Dragonlaser's has both!! They have an OD rating of >4 for under $30.00/ea!! That is un-heard of!!!. You will not find a quality pair for this price ANYWHERE else, I promise you. I recommend these to everyone one I know who uses lasers. They are the REAL DEAL for the best price possible!!!
